What is the best place to start a blog given my preferences?

I want to start a blog to get my thoughts out on politics, economics, current events, etc (not stuff about my dog or my favorite makeup lol). I'm debating between blogger.com and yahoo 360... Yahoo 360 I think will make it easier to connect with people since its all uner yahoo, but it seems too personal and displays a lot of my personal info and address and stuff (weird..). Blooger.com seems good, but might be hard to get in touch with people. Can anyone with experience help?

Hey there. I tried to look up some "blog directories" just to find out that's a nearly impossible task. When you search for blog directories, you get results of blogs....in directories..what I mean is that your results are simply thousands of blogs of different topics instead of a directory of 'Places to create blogs". It's frustrating. What I did find in searching was that many people recommend Vox www.vox.com That seems to be pretty popular. Another very popular option is to host your blog topics on Digg www.digg.com even though you may not think of it it "blog" terms, I can't think of site that is more straight forward then that. Plus you can a really good amount of exposure with digg. whenever I am looking up a topic of current interest, I often find goolgle results to digg.com pages. But also check out that Vox place.  I am looking for some "blog property" to host a place of my own myself. hops this helps a little.
