  1. The Caribbean is a good cruise destination, especially if you've never been on a cruise.

Go to your library and get some books on cruising, as there are many factors to consider.

Also, check out CruiseCritic.com - click on "Boards" at the top of the page.  You might especially interested in "First Time Cruisers".  There's a lot of info on these boards, so have fun browsing.

  2. my parients ditched going to Bristol for the race to go to costa mia or cazzamel or the Grand Trunks

on a Carnavel cruse  they go for 3 or 4 days,

In 2 weeks they will go again for a....umm 5th or 6th time

    they go twice a year now...like it's a pillgramige...and they love it

  3. Sounds like you have never been on a cruise. My advice is to find a cruise specialist who can help you get the best price since they know the ships, cruise lines, destinations, and have access to all of them. They also will (or should) ask you questions to find out and help you figure out what will give you the best experience for your cruise.

Although the basics are the same on cruises, the different cruise lines themselves are better suited to certain people based on age, experience, budget, and that is the job of a true cruise specialist - to find out what will be right for you. If they do the job the right way, you'll come back to them and repeat business and referrals of happy clients is what the goal is.

And think value not price! For example, the lowest price is probably an inside cabin in a not so desirable location on the ship, but maybe for a few dollars more, you could get an oceanview or one with private balcony - better experience thus better value for your money.

Also daily per diem cost. A 3 night cruise is less than a 4 night (but not always). Let's say a 3 night is $300 per person and a 4 night is $375. Your per diem cost is $100 per night for the 3 and $93.75 for the 4. On which are you getting better value for your money?

You'll have a great time so it enjoy the one you eventually pick

  4. I took two cruises to Mexico and they were awesome. If you are over 21 than i would go to the Royal Caribbean for a cruise company. They have a lot of dances and things for grown ups.

  5. Some great places are the Hawaiin islands, the Med and Alaska.  A great place to search for your cruises is at

    "Amazing Tours and Travel"

    http://www.ytbtravel.com/amazingtoursand...

  6. Check out www.vacationstogo.com

They have a great search engine that allows you to search by cruise line, destination or even departure port.

Notable about the teaser rates you see on the web...it is for the smallest and usually sold out cabin and it does not include the port fees and taxes which can add $75-100 per person.

We love to visit the Caribbean and Mexico. There is always something fun to do in Cozumel.

You may also need a passport depending on when you plan to sail.  Keep up to date on the requirements at:  http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbp...

  7. The Caribbean is a fun place to go  = lots of fun in the sun stuff. Royal Caribbean has great value for the dollar, i'd start there!

  8. vacationstogo.com Check the star rating for the ship you are interested in. Don't overlook the itinerary either.
