  1. the berlin wall, i went there and they also have local muesams where you can learn more about it ((dont worry i think its in english)), p.s i went there and it was nice :)

  2. Here are two very helpful links for you:

    http://www.berlin.de/english/

And I would recommend get a tourist guide that will help you get around. And yes, many Germans speak English.

  3. Get a guide and ask him to show you around. Berlin is such a beautiful city, you just can't go wrong. Of course if you knew German you'd enjoy it more. But many Berliners speak English, and you should not have any trouble. Berlin University is a nice place to visit.

  4. Berlin is an awesome city.  I would check out the eastside gallery if I were you.  It is a little bit outside of the main part of Berlin, but so cool.  Graffiti artists came from all over the world to paint different pictures on remaining sections of the Berlin wall.  Checkpoint charlie and Brandenburg gate are pretty popluar tourist spots.  And if you are looking for a good time at night, check out a club called the matrix.  The place was enourmous and had an indoor swimming pool. Very cool.  You'll have a blast there, it is one of my favorite cities.

  5. I recommend going on a free, english-language walking tour or bike tour with Sandeman's New Berlin tours on your first day. The tours are free because the guides work on a tips-only basis. It will give you ideas on what you want to see and do after the tour and on your second day.

Personally I can recommend visiting the TV-Tower (paid entrance) over seeing the Reichstag (free), because the views from the roof are similar and the waiting line for the TV-Tower is not as long as for the Reichstag. (The cupola and the roof is all you see from the inside of the Reichstag, you might as well view the building from outside.)

And since I am an art and history freak, I can highly recommend the Pergamon museum. The Ishar gate, the Pergamon altar and the Mshatta Wall are the highlights you shouldn't miss.
