What is the best place to visit in Costa Rica for a week?

In my 20s with girlfriend. Looking for a nice time - I speak Spanish. Gracias amigos!

Hola. Ya que hablas español, pués ve practicando. Te doy dos concejos:

1- Ve a la Península de Nicoya allí hay todo un sector en el área del pácifico con maravillosas playas y bosque tropical seco: Tambor, Montezuma, Cabuya, Santa Tereza, Manzanillo y Malpaís son todos faciles de llegar y hasta puedes ir en autobus ( desde San José).

2-Entra en la página de Yahoo respuestas es Español y has la pregunta allí, así un montón de ticos te aconsejan con más facilidad. Escoges la opción en Español, luego viajes, luego américa látina y luego Costa Rica.  Suerte.

The Nicoya Peninsula is cool and so is dominical. Ask yourselves what it is you are looking to do while here. The Nicoya Peninsula has really great surf and alot of beaches, Same with Guanacaste. they are situated in a Dry Forest area and so the wilderness is nice but not entirely what Costa Rica is known for which is the rain forest. Here you can get a better idea about the area...

Dominical is in the southern region and it is surrounded by the lush rain forest of the Osa Peninsula, a highly bio-diverse area of the world! you could go to Dominical and check out the surf vibe, then go down the peninsula to Puerto Jimenez and do some fishing tours, hike through Corcovado National Park and see MONKEYS, or lay on the beach with calm waters for swimming.

Take three nights in each place and then head back to SJO to fly home. This area of the country is easiest to get to by plane but a little pricey too. The bus ride from SJO to Puerto Jimenez is about 10 hours.

Looking for a place that has barely any crime and still have a good time but be able to walk home at night, dominical. It is a small surf village but plenty of discos
