Well it depends what you are looking for.

The two main cities are Athens and Thessaloniki, I have lived in both of them, Thessaloniki is by far the most beutiful as Athens to be honest is a bit for a s**t hole.

I would suggest going to the islands. I just came back from Skopelos island for a 2 week holiday.  It was very nice, its the island that they shot the film Mamma Mia.  Do a search on google for it.  The party islands are Mikonos, Ios.  Apparently Santorini is beutiful as it has black sands and white houses and an amazing sunset.

All in all Greece is a nice place, but there isnt that much to do here.  Basically its about going out for coffee, going to the beach or going to a restaurant.  The archealogical sites are interested i suppose it your into that sort of thing, but I was kind of dissapointed with the acropolis.
