  7. African Violets work great. They love the sun...keep em watered good though.

  8. tomato - needs lots of water and fertliser. Can eat them too!

  9. If ur just looking for a plain indoor house plant, I have a Spider plant that is fantastic in sunlight. The bloom pretty nice. It not a flower.

  10. I started a passion flower by seed and love it.  It is a vine so I had to get a trellis for it to climb, it loves filtered sun in a window because the glass magnifies the rays...but overall its 2 years old and flowers only once a year but for a few months at a time...the flowers are soooo  unusual and smell really good.

  11. It depends on what you mean by best, do you mean prettiest or easiest of fastest?

  12. Herbs are a nice option - even if you don't cook with them. Most of them will even bloom. I think that Thyme is especially pretty.....I have two varieties and one blooms with clusters of tiny white flowers, the other with lilac colored clusters. Sage also has beautiful bluish purple flowers.

Black opal Basil is a sort of maroon colored plant that will also bloom a lot like salvia.

Rosemary is part of the evergreen family and gets pretty little flowers too.

Herbs are EASY to grow and maintain.

  13. Herbs do well on a bright sunny windowsill.  Try some thyme.   Mother of thyme also has lovely pink flowers plus you can use the leaves in cooking.  It's very easy to care for.  Give it a good pot with proper drainage and water it when dry.  If it gets too big, simply trim it back after flowering and it'll grow new bushier shoots.
