Very limited budget, can't travel much more than 100 miles. The children and grandchildren got something simple Raggedy Ann, Teddy Bear, quilt or other stuffed toy that I could make. Current attitudes seem to believe these are not safe, the child will harm itself. What is acceptable by todays standards?

  1. I am not sure who thinks a handmade quilt is not safe.......... as long as it is made of soft fabirc  there are no buttons or fringe trim it should be okay.  Personally any of the above gifts you mentioned are something that I would  feel lucky to receive and cherish for my child.

  2. Start him off young and buy him 5 quick picks.

( you may make him/her rich).

    Safe---no?

  3. A book is always a great gift.

They're made for tiny babies too out of cardboard or fabric.
