They live across the country from me. I want to spend about $700. Yes, I feel guilty I cannot be there to celebrate their big day. They are young for their ages. They look around 60, act like they are in their 50s, but are both really early 70's.

  1. Congrats To Them. Well The Appropriate Gift Is Gold For A 50th Anniversary.

Why Not Find A Picture Of Their Wedding Day & Put It In A Gold Plated Frame & Have It Engraved. My Parents Got A Silver Frame Like That For Their 25th Last Year, Looks Really Nice.

Anything Gold Is A Perfect Gift.

    =)

Good Luck, Hope They Like Whatever You Get Them.

  2. 4. Well 50th is the GOLDEN anniversary

Purchase tickets for a movie, sports event, concert, theatre, etc. and wrap with a gold ribbon.

Plan a trip to the Gold Coast or to a Gold Mine.

  5. Aww, congrats to them for celebrating 50 golden years together! This might sound cheesy, but how about putting together an album that shows their love just blossoming over the years? If you have any photos of them when they were younger, maybe before they were married, then move on to photos of them getting married or even at their happiest moments [perhaps when their children were born/holding their child with the biggest smiles on their faces].

Keep progressing. Maybe include some musicians they like or events they've been to. Decorate the album. Have fun with it and put a lot of love into it - that's what matters the most! Even pictures of them at your wedding (and siblings if you have any), and becoming grandparents for the first, second, however many times [great-grandparents, maybe?]. At the end, just write a special message to your parents and let them know how much they mean to you.

  6. box of condoms

  7. See if you can get cruise tickets for them, or if not ask other family members to pitch in and help. It will be like a second honey moon.

  8. You could always get them giftcards for an airline that they fly frequently.  They could use them to fly to see you or take a trip to celebrate their anniversary.

  9. I would get them a scrapbook album. Go as far back as you can remember. Check out this online store www.mwdkrafts.ecrater.com. She has made a few albums that are really nice. She is making my wedding album.

They will be able to keep this for the rest of their lives and pass it along to their children...

    Good Luck

  10. Well the 50th is the 'golden' anniversary.  So buy something gold.  Maybe some kind of ornament they can enjoy to remind them of you and the fact they have been together for 50 years.
