What is the best price for a 2009 lancer gts manual transmission with the sun and sound package?

You could prolly get the dealer down to $17,500 at the very lowest.  But you will be prolly looking at around $19K with a little haggling.

I was looking at the same car, but went with the ES Sport with CVT.  Driving in traffic a lot (like I do) kills the clutch and my left leg in a manual!!  Although I wanted a manual, I needed something smoother for everyday driving in traffic.  Plus the 10-year warranty doen't cover the clutch, but it does cover the entire CVT.

I got the dealer down to $17,200 with the Sun and Sound package, for a car that listed for $20,440 (2009 Lancer ES Sport with the GTS Appearance package, CVT Transmission, Sun and Sound, and Bluetooth).

My car gas a little better gas mileage than the GTS (I got the little computer to register 33 mpg average!  woo!), but no 18 inch rims, or paddle shifters,  saved a bundle though, and I plan on getting 17 inch Chrome rim anyways, so the 18 inchers wouldn't be worth it.

Last time I seen it was 19k-20k msrp with hasseling. I seen some people got it for 18k on some boards but thats if you know how to hassel though.

A good place to get that info is through Consumer Reports. You call this number (1-800-288-6463), you give the car information you would like to buy and they send you the information back. It'll cost you $14.00 though but it is well worth the money. The info that they send you will include the price that the dealer paid for the car and it's options. It will also include the available rebates that the dealers don't want you to know. With all the information you have, you are ready to haggle with the dealer. It helps a lot. Me and my friends use this system and we end up paying very close to the dealer invoice but way better than the sticker price.
