Question:

What is the best product to help me make my own soda?

I love sparkly beverages, but want to cut back on the expense and calories of soda by making my own lower-sugar drinks. Is there a "fizzer" I can buy that I can use to just add carbonation to a beverage, like, say, a glass of juice?

I've tried just adding sparkling water from a bottle to juice, but it would be more fun to be able to make my own fizz!

  1. Yes, there are bottles that have a fitting so that you can discharge a small co2 cartridge into water in the half filled bottle. Shake it in, and you have seltzer for the price of the cartridge.

Be sure to use filtered fluids because any seeds, cellulose or pulp would clog the valve. It is also very difficult to wash out the seltzer bottles, so don't use any strong flavored beverages unless you are willing to taste a little of it in the next batch of soda.
