What is the best projector screen?

I am getting the Panasonic PT AE1000U projector. And I was wondering which screen I should get to compliment this projector.

I want a screen that gives amazing and superior image quality. Which company and what size screen should i get.

What size of room do you have and what is the light level i the room, you will then have to put that into acount for the gain on the screen.  A good screen that are relativly cheap are Dalite, they make good screens that are both portable and mounted.  I recommended a website in the last answer i gave of projectorpeople.com they have a lot of good info for screens also, but any forum out there will help you out.  try www.avsforum.com,  Good luck.

In reality, one of the best projector screen is Stewart (US), but their price is very expensive. It is about US$ 2,500 for 92" diagonal 16:9 screen.

If you use PT AE 1000, it's pretty difficult to justify using Stewart.

If I were you, try first with blank wall. Paint the wall with white paint that is NOT glossy.

If you would like to experience more, paint the wall with light grayish paint that is NOT glossy.

I do not recommend Draper. Vutec is OK. Pixar is great value.

Regarding size, the easy and save rule of thumb is: get the screen that has width 0.4 times the distance between your eyes and the screen. Example: you sit 5 meters away from the screen, then the appropriate screen width is 5m x 0.4 = 2.0m. In this case, 92" diagonal screen (16:9) has 204cm width, therefore you should chose this size.

If it is too wide, then when you watch movies with a lot of actions and movements, then you might get dizzy. Just like sitting in a front row of a cinema.
