What is the best quality you can get for a PS3, besides an HDMI Cable?

i dont have a HDMI port thing on my tv so i was wondering what is the best i can get

and... what is a DVI male to HDMI Cable for?

Component cables....the ones that come with it..

You could use the DVI to HDMI cable but you would also need a set of audio cables (red and white) for sound.

Thats about all you can do.

component video cables and s video cables..

but, no there is no better way than a HDMI cable its the only cable to use uncompressed audio and video

If you have a HDTV that doesn't have a HDMI or DVI input, Component connection (720p max.) is the best that you can get.

If your TV isn't a HDTV, then you're limited to 480 lines of vertical resolution but you have a number of connection options, some better than others.

Best: RGB (European televisions only) or Component

Good: S-Video

Worst: Composite Video (yellow RCA connector)
