What is the best racing bike out there and which one would be the best for the price?

The best one is the one you can afford to buy. I like the Prince. Retails for almost $10,000 though. Worth more than my car....There's no such thing as "best". Needs will vary a great deal from rider to rider. I'm happy with one that cost $700.

To broad a question, there are just too many types of bike racing, narrow it down a bit.

best for the money? pro-tour, or mere mortal standards? I'll go with pro-tour. 8 of the last 9 TdFs were won on Treks (US Postal/Discovery). a top of the line Madone will run upwards of $10k. The Giant TCR Team Advanced is probably the most econimical at about $5k (T-Mobile, Columbia). I still get turned on by the Pinarello Prince >$10k (Caisse d'Epargne).
