  8. Chiropractor, works great!!  Long lasting too.

  9. Drinking chamomile tea with drops of Valerian tincture, and inhaling essential oil of peppermint can be very helpful.

Also, as another answer stated, a chiropractic adjustment can help a great deal.

  10. You should try an herbal supplement called Head Q. It helps with headaches including migraines. Go to www.sandkherbs.com for more information.

  11. Tiger Balm.  Rub a small amount on each temple and wait about 10 mins.  Gone.  Available from all good chemists.

One drop of essential oil of lavender in aloe vera, rubbed in at both temples and across the forehead.  Gone in a few minutes.

Sometimes just a drink of water!

  13. Drink a lot of water. I get headaches quite a lot from dehydration just because i forget to drink water! I'd recommend trying that before taking paracetamol.. if the water doesn't ease it, I'd say take ibuprofen not paracetamol because its an anti inflammatory so will help relieve pressure and things =)

  14. Most headaches are caused by dehydration, so just drink a lot of water.  If that doesn't help, you might try some ibuprofen, but don't eat it on an empty stomach.

  16. cocodamol, much better than paracetamol

  17. Magnets. A friend who visited my house had suffered for two days with  a headache, he had taken paracetamol etc., however the pain persisted. I stuck a magnet on his forehead and within twenty minutes the headache was gone. I buy ten small magnets from poundland and use them for several problems.Guess what the magnets cost just a pound.

  18. Obviously avoid loud noises and bright lights. Perhaps stay out of the wind so the cold air isn'thitting your face and head.

Also recommend avoiding caffeine, chocolate and dairy products as these set headaches off in some people. Try not to think about your headache of you can help it, take your mind off it and you may not notice it as much.

I suffer from migraines, I use migraleve, you can buy them over the counter from th epahrmacy/chemist they contain paracetemol bout also codeine and they work a treat for me.
