What is the best remedy for mosquito bites?

so far i have used band-aid brand itch gel

and alcohol and even ice. but oh my goodness the itching returns

i also heard witch hazel....

  1. Caladryl lotion works very good.  My mom always used it on me as a kid and it seemed to eliminate the itch fairly quickly.


  2. Don't scratch, rub. Slap the bite.

  3. calamine lotion usually relieves the itch(:

    the brand cortizone also has a lotion that relieves itching.

    although cortizone isn't the same as calamine:D

    or i usually just press my fingernail into the bite really hard...

    until i can get calamine lotion;]

  4. i always take my nail and like press an x over the bite with my nail..it usually helps. sometimes putting some bleach on it helps

  5. witch hazel helps or try putting benedryl stick on it or if you can get your hands on this stuff that Mary Kay i think makes called calming influence. its AMAZING for mosquito bites. i dont know if they still make it though, but you can always try and see. oh and also if you make an oatmeal paste, it soothes it and takes away the itch. or if you have them all over your body try an oatmeal bath.
