  1. look thru the yellow pages

i like maggianos, there are some indian and east african restraunts in the area too

  2. Mama Santos in Little Italy.

The absolute best pizza and Italian food.

  3. Slyman's Restaurant (Deli) for their corned beef sandwiches.

We are talking about thick corned beef sandwiches that are worth for the money.

    Slyman’s Restaurant is located at:

    3106 St. Clair Avenue

    Cleveland, Ohio 44114

    (216) 621-3760

  4. Fine Dining:

    Blue Point Grille:

In my opinion, it is the best fine dining restaurant in the city...hands down...without question. All of their dishes are outstanding...I was a total addict when I lived in Cleveland (as much as one can be considering the prices...I mean its not the kind of place you can go every week).  But it is well worth the money...and reasonable for the quality of the food....their seafood is to die for and they even do a spectacular filet mignon.  Appetizers and deserts are scumptious too and the service was always top notch.

    XO Prime Steaks:

I went there once and it was delicious.  Wonderful steaks and beautiful atmosphere...one of Cleveland's best.  Supposedly a top choice for members of the Cavs and visiting celebs.

    Metropolitan Cafe:

Also a good choice...not quite as amazing as the first two I mentioned, but still a pleasing experience for sure.  Their mashed potatoes were not the best I had ever had (and nothing compared to Blue Point's) but still good food overall.  Great cocktails and very fun environment.

    M Bistro:

This one's on the West side - not downtown like the first three.  It's not flashy or trendy but the food is delicious (Italian) and the atmosphere is very romantic and a bit rustic.

    Baricelli Inn:

Probably the most expensive restaurant in Cleveland and well worth the expense...at least for a very special occasion.  Very fine dining experience...very small and quiet...but beautiful garden views...extremely romantic.  Superb food.

    Mallorca:

Great Spanish cuisine/seafood.  Very good and friendly service.  Huge portions.  You may need to pick apart your food though, when you order fish...it isn't "ready-to-eat"...sometimes that bothers me...but I'm picky in that way.  the taste of the food is wonderful though.

    Delis:

Barrister's Deli has great food...it is kind of in a divy area before you get downtown...but the food is delicious...they are known for their catering as welll.  They also have a bar...a lot of after work people go there to chill.

There are some kosher delis in the University Heights area (on the way to beachwood)...I've never been to them though...can't say if they are any good.

The deli at Whole foods is superb though...also in University Heights.

    World Food:

    Mint Cafe:

Great Thai cuisine in Coventry.  Good service.  Pleasant atmosphere.  Try the Massaman curry and a Thai tea.

    Pacific East:

Japanese and Malaysian food.  The sushi is great.

    Mad Greek:

Greek and Indian Food.  Very nice atmosphere and yummy food.  The Indian dishes are not the most authentic, but still tasty.  I prefer the greek ones.

    Aladdin's:

Good Middle Eastern Food.  It is a chain, but nevertheless...the food is decent and probably one of the better middle eastern places you'll find in Cleveland.

    Claddagh:

Irish restaurant in Beachwood.  Good comfort food.  Kinda heavy...but that's Irish food.

    Uptowne:

In University Circle...decent Morrocan food.  Some dishes are better than others...they kinda have a mixed menu...I like their chicken wings and they have nights of belly dancing and live jazz which is fun.

    Dives:

Hmmm...there are so many in Cleveland!  :)

I'd say McNulty's in Coventry...its an average Joe Bar with average Joe drinks and average Joe food.

Also a bar called B-side in Coventry...it has been pretty lame every time I have been there...I'd go with Le Cave du Vin instead...its divey but still really fun...and there's great wine.

    La Trattoria:

In Little Italy...its Italian. It's not totally divey, but just a regular ol' restaurant with good italian food.  Try the gnochi.

  5. I suggest Charley's Grilled Subs. They have awesome Philly subs and gourmet fries! There are several locations all around North Eastern Ohio. There's one at Tower City Mall, Parmatown Mall, South Park Center in Strongsville, Southern Park Mall in Youngstown, Midway Mall, oh, and a new one that's soon to open in Beechwood Place.

    YUMMY

  6. My favorite place to eat is The Melting Pot in Lyndhurst.  It is a many course fondue joint.  I also like Blue Point Grille for fine dining.  A quirky restaurant (juice bar/world food/eclectic) is Johnny Mango.  A fun "dive" is Melt bar and grilled in Lakewood (bar and any type of grilled cheese sandwich you can imagine).  Love Cleveland food!

  7. i love the resturant at the west side market

  8. bravo's is delicious, i ate there when i went for a convention...atmosphere and food was beautifully delicious
