  1. There is a good steak place on 4th street (just below howl at the moon pub). However, our best dining experience in Kentucky was an oriental restaurant across the state border in Indiana.

  2. Kentucky Fried Chicken

  3. It might be easier if you limited it to a city or type of food.

Steak - Pat's Steak House, 2437 Brownsboro Rd, Louisville, KY 40206 (locally owned) or Morton's, 626 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202 (national chain)

Seafood - Chart House Restaurant, 405 Riverboat Row, Newport, KY 41071

Sushi - Sugano's Japanese Restaurant, 1533 Eastland Parkway, Lexington, KY 40505

Malaysian - Banana Leaf, 319A South Limestone,

    Lexington, KY 40508

Indian - Tandoor, 3130 Maple Leaf Drive Suite 112, Lexington, KY 40509 or Masala, 3061 Fieldstone Way, Lexington, KY 40513 (they're sister restaurants, Masala also has another newly opened location on Nicholasville Rd.)

Tex-Mex - Any Tumbleweed's...$0.99 Margaritas on Mondays and free chips and salsa...do you need another reason

Fried Chicken - Any Popeye's...the chicken, the mashed potatoes, the beans-n-rice, the po' boys...so bad for you but tastes so good

  4. Bob Evans has really good food. And Mark's Feed Store is yummy too.  They are both in Louisville.
