What is the best restaurant in Leichardt, on or around Norton st?

Desperately need to find a nice spot for tomorrow night (!) Obviously decent Italian would be good but doesn't have to be.

I definately would not go to No Names.. its very noisy, no privacy & quick food, quick service but they expect you out the door quickly too.  Forget a romantic dinner there.  Its more for families.

There is a lovely restaurant at the entrance of Norton St plaza but I can't for the life of me remember the name.  Excellent food, good service & it looks out over the road.  

There are quite a few nice restaurants.. probably best to look in the phone book & ring a few.

The Italian Forum has some nice restaurants as well.  Most are byo too.

There is also the Sth American restaurant almost near Norton St on Parramatta Rd, they do Churruscharia (bad spelling, sorry) and I have been told they have devine deserts as well.  I plan on going there soon myself.

If you want to go to another restaurant that I can highly recommend (although it is in Chippendale) its called Buon Gusto... gorgeous above average homestyle Italian provincial cooking.  The staff are excellent & the atmosphere is great.  

I was there today for lunch!  If you do go there tell them Caron sent you :-)))))
