Your probably looking for a romantic spot.

A nice restraint will seat you in your desired location with in the dinning room. Your chooses should very from seafood to beef and chicken dishes that the soup and salads are included in the price. As well as your bread or buns.

You should be able to order from a wine or drink list that is separate from the menu.

Your tip should be the same as the taxes as a moderate tip.

If the service was good it should reflect in your tip, same as if it was exceptional it could be an impressive tip.

I always look as it as if I was the waiter what would I like to get.

When I lived in the Toronto area I visited Colossus of Rhodes in Mississauga often.  They now have a restaurant in Oakville on Lakeshore.  It is AWESOME!

It is usually cool and romantic to take her to somewhere  unique that she's never been to before as apposed to some ghetto chain restaurant,  so, I suggest taking her to an Indian or Thai restaurant, or Japanese. Anything ethnic and exotic is always a hit.

If you're ok spending the money, anything high end is good. It's not only about food, it's about quality of service and atmosphere.

EPIC at the Royal York is awesome, I was there with my girlfriend and it could'nt have been more luxurious.

if you want to impress her, take her to LEE or SUSUR on King street. they are right beside each other. I have been to lee and it has a very open minded menu, everything is amazing... ask if they still have "cow/beef cheek" it is absolutely to die for.  it is a little higher priced but definately a impressing place to go to... make reservations for either place. i'm pretty sure that susur is a little more higher class than lee but both are amazing, i'd go with lee for a more relaxed atmosphere.
