What is the best rewards credit card for medical expenses?

Okay, any rewards credit card will give me 1% back, either in cash or on something I buy everyday (like gas).

Are there any cards that give me a higher percentage, either in general or specifically on medical expenses?

I am in a situation where I am paying the medical provider and insurance is reimbursing me, so a lot of money will be "churning through" this card.

Please, no advice on credit ratings or that I don't want to do this. I'm just looking for the best card to use for about $30-70k in medical expenses per year.

Assume I can qualify for any card I apply for and that I only use this card for medical expenses.

  1. the best cash back credit card is Citibank Cashreturns this card give you 5% on any purchase check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com and go under cash rebate cards.

  2. One quick correction on another answer you heard about the Citi CashReturns paying you 5% cash back -- sadly, that's no longer how that credit card works for the first 3 months.  Now it's a 1% cash back card that pays an extra 0.2% cash back for the first year.  So it's like a 1.2% cash back card for a year.

If you happen to have Aetna insurance (sounds like you don't though), the Aetna Healthy Living card pays 3% rewards on spending at most medical providers.

If you don't mind cashing in your reward for airline tickets, then the best deal for you is probably the Capital One No Hassle Miles Ultra for Professionals card.  It essentially pays 2% rewards on all spending.  It has a $39 annual fee which subtracts a little, but since you're funneling so much through the card, it beats out all the other cards in net rewards percentage.

Note that you can use this rewards calculator to see which credit card will pay you the most for your $30K-$70K in spending (for example, plug in $4000 for your total spend per month to calc for a $48K annual spend):

That's where I got the Capital One No Hassle Miles Ultra for Professionals answer.

Another option is the Fidelity card mentioned on that site.  It effectively pays 1.5% cash back on all spending, but you have to open a Fidelity account to redeem it (unless you happen to have a Fidelity account already).
