  1. The Cub Cadet I Series is one to check out for hills. It has the power of both back wheels pushing because is a zero turn and has 2 hydrostatic transmissions that operate the back wheels independently. The difference for this mower from every other zero turn is it has the steering of a conventional rider, not the free flopping front wheels, so you won’t lose control if a back wheel slips on the hill. Plus the fact that it is a zero turn doesn’t hurt. It’s not cheap so do you home work first.

  2. the trick when using a ride on mower on a hill is to up and down. and never go sideways. as going up and down gives you the power in the wheels to drive it up or down, rather than skid sideways down wards.

a roll bar is a must. i would buy a 'john deere' as in my professional experiemce  they are the best i have used.

  3. none  they will all tip
