  2. If you want a challenge and to paddle you *** off to stay in control take the sturgeon river from wolverine to Burt lake for a long day.  This is narrow quick river with endless twists and obstacles often on the driftwood and sandbars in the turns.  

    If you want to float and relax this isn't for you.   If you are a whitewater pro.  You will be disappointed.  But it is the best river in Michigan.
