  1. The best romance book ever is definitely Romeo and Juliet.  By a long shot.

  2. Two of the best romance writers are Nicholas Sparks and Nora Roberts. . .I have read almost all their books and haven't changed my mind . . .try one of theirs, you won't regret it !

  3. The noughts and crosses trilogy is orften compared to the twilight series. I think it is better- and I really like twilight too. It is about two people- one is black and the other white- who have been friends since they were kids, but they cant be together because of all the racism in the world. Its so amazing.

  4. My favorite type of books that contain romance are in the historical fiction genre, and since you said you like historical I'll offer suggestions in that area.  So, if you haven't already read them, here are some historical fiction suggestions that contain romance:

-Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery (this series has eight books overall, the first one being Anne of Green Gables). This series takes place in the early 1900s, and is about a hot-headed, stubborn orphan girl who finds a way of fitting into the little town of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island (in Canada). As the series progresses, the main character (Anne) grows up, marries, etc...

-Anything by Jane Austen, such as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Persuasion, etc...Many of her books are about women of the 1800s and their attempts at fitting into society, finding romance/love, etc...

-Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - This is about four sisters in the 1860s (during the American Civil War), and it portrays how the sisters grow up, find romance/love, etc...

    Best wishes!

  5. i would say the notebook by nicholas sparks.... he is so good

  6. One of my favorite authors is Nicholas Sparks! He writes the best love stories! You should definitely read "The Notebook" and "A Walk to Remember." You will not regret it. Hope this helps!

  7. Here are a few good romance novels:

    Forever... by: Judy Blume

    Summary:

Katherine and Michael meet on New Year''s Eve and their attraction is instantaneous. Completely involved with each other, filled with all the wonder of "the first time," they are blissfully unaware of the complications real love presents. When they are separated that summer and Katherine meets someone new, she faces a dilemma. Is her love for Michael merely a stepping-stone to a world of passion and discovery? Or the kind of love that lasts a lifetime?

Pride and Prejudice by: Jane Austen

    Summary:

'his perfect indifference, and your pointed dislike, make it so delightfully absurd!'' Pride and Prejudice has delighted generations of readers with its unforgettable cast of characters, carefully choreographed plot, and a hugely entertaining view of the world and its absurdities. With the arrival of eligible young men in their neighbourhood, the lives of Mr and Mrs Bennet and their five daughters are turned inside out and menide down. Pride encounters prejudice, upward-mobility confronts social disdain, and quick-wittedness challenges sagacity, as misconceptions and hasty judgements lead to heartache and scandal, but eventually to true understanding, self-knowledge, and love. In this supremely satisfying story, Jane Austen balances comedy with seriousness, and witty observation with profound insight. If Elizabeth Bennet returns again and again to her letter from Mr Darcy, readers of the novel are drawn even more irresistibly by its captivating wisdom.

If We Kiss by: Rachel Vail

    Summary:

As discreetly as possible I pressed my right fist against my mouth and stuck my gum to the back of it, just in case this was going to turn into a kissing-type thing. Even in my inexperience, I knew you are not supposed to have gum in your mouth while you kiss. Kevin led me quickly around the side of the building, then stopped. I managed not to crash into him. I tried to look calm, cool, unperturbed. I told myself not to laugh, especially not a snorting kind of laugh. "Wha ... what did ... " And then he kissed me.

If We Kiss is the story of Charlotte (Charlie to her friends), who finds herself falling for a boy who is off-limits. Her best friend is in love with him, and her mother and his father are dating. Still, Charlie can’t help but wonder, what would happen if we kiss?

High school junior Jenny Greenley is good at solving problems ... so good she’s the school newspaper’s anonymous advice columnist. Even if solving other people’s problems doesn’t make her own -- like not having a boyfriend -- go away, it’s still fun. But when nineteen-year-old screen sensation Luke Striker comes to Jen’s small town to research a role, he creates havoc that even levelheaded Jenny isn’t sure she can repair... especially since she’s right in the middle of it.

Can Jen, who always manages to be there for everybody else, learn to take her own advice, and find true love at last?
