What is the best route from mumbai to goa?

i am planning a trip in july, can somebody suggest the best route to goa?

Go by an intern flight, from mubai to Goa, You can take a coach its cheaper but i wouldnt really recomned it , i travelled both ways, the coach trip is about 12 hours and there arnt many 'proper' toilet facility stops on the way. You can Buy an intern flight to goa when you get to mumbai.

i would advise

bombay - pune- kolhapur-sawantwadi (through Amboli) and Goa , is shorter by 2 hours but straight roads and open roads.

Well I am happy to know that you want to visit Goa, the usual rout is through PEN, CHIPULEN,RATNAGIRI,SAWANTWADI,PERNEM(goa... Mapusa & Panjim.( one way route) very tireing

THE BEST ROUTE I Travel to Mumbai is : Mumbai-Pune Exp High Way> BY Pass To Kolapure befor Belgaum take a diversion >Via> Nepani to Amboli to Sawantawadi -Pernem.

This will help you cover Mumbai to Goa in 8 to 9 hours with some small stopes, driving is a pleasure, but will cost you around Rs 600 for toll
