  1. You can't go from here, you have to go to.........

  2. According to the source cited below:

It's easy to travel by train+ferry from London to Belfast or anywhere in Northern Ireland, from just £32.30 each way.  Train+ferry is the traditional, time-honoured way to travel, through the countryside by train and across the Irish Sea by ship. It's a great alternative to short-haul flights, which are now the fastest-growing contributor to global warming.

There are combined train+ferry tickets from ANY UK railway station to Belfast, Londonderry, or ANY Northern Irish railway station via ANY of the main ferry routes, you just need to choose your route and ferry operator....  There are 3 options :

Option 1, via Dublin:  Travel to Dublin by train+ferry via Holyhead, then take a fast 'Enterprise' express train from Dublin to Belfast, with connecting trains to Londonderry.  This is the cheapest option, London to Belfast costs £32.30 one-way, £64.60 return (unlimited availability at this price..!) with a chance to see Dublin on the way.

Option 2, via Stranraer:  Travel by train to Stranraer in Scotland and take the Stena Line HSS (= High Speed Sea Service, pictured right) to Belfast port.  There are 2 services daily and combined train+ferry fares are available to Belfast from ANY railway station in Britain.

Option 3, via Liverpool:  Travel by train to Liverpool for the overnight Norse Merchant Ferries (now Norfolkline) ship to Belfast.  This is a very comfortable option, although combined train+ferry fares are not available via this route so you must book the ferry and train separately.
