Those are two very diverse choices. Ether way you will need to attend an academy. FBI will want a college degree.Narrow your choice and search requirements on the net.

I'd skip CJ and opt for English, law, accounting or something else that will actually be useful.  The academy and post academy curriculum will teach you what you need to know about the job. The areas of study that I listed provide a stronger foundation for those career choices.  Also, learning Arabic, any Chinese dialect, Korean, or other languages would give you a competitive edge as well.  CJ majors are "a dime-a-dozen" and don't really enhance your marketability

FBI likes a four year not arts degree, they really like math and science grads.

State of Tx likes two year degree and some sort of local LE background.  It is a really small tight unit for the size of the state.
