I used to live in Herne Bay and i would never go back there. If you want sand and a nice bech, Broadstairs, Westbrook, possibly Margate. Birchington is nice, Whitstable is nice but the beach is all pebbles and shells.

My favourite is Birchington to Margate stretch, lots of secluded sandy bays.....

Margate is a tad overcrowded and a bit tacky.....

Costa Blanca where I am darling. But if you want to be in Kent, just make sure it is somewhere where the sea fishing is good, otherwise what's the point?

that takes me back over 50yrs, lived in a small village nr deal called Walmer, wonderful place then, fields every where, and sea just down the road, station rd, lived opposite the green garage, spent my childhood in that place, i expect all that has changed now, nice to have looked back all those years, to the time when nothing to worry about,thanks
