Google is the best for static images.  http://www.ilovegifs.com/ is a great one for animated images.

I use Google images.  Easy to get to and you can set criteria for searching.

Go to http://google.com and then click on Images in the links across the top.

And hey, don't feel bad if you missed this - I've been using computers for heaps longer than my son and he had to teach me this!  (Insert eye-rolling smiley.)
