  1. Kaspersky or nod 32

  2. zonelabs zonealarm is excellent but im told windows one from microsoft is best as they have all the information

  3. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 8.0.0.454

  4. Kaspersky and NOD32 are the best to buy Avast and Antivir are the best free antivirus programs get them from http://www.download.com.

You should forget AVG 8.0 free edition it has a nice interface but is poor at blocking viruses so not worth using.

I've tested both Avast Home Edition (free) and AVG 8.0 (free), AVG let me save 75% of the test viruses to my hard drive only blocking 25% were as Avast blocked 75% of viruses, Avast picked up the other 25% of the viruses that were in zip files the second I tried to extract them.

I use Avast combined with Comodo Pro on my XP home computer and have no problems with virus's or spyware.

    Test them yourself: http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_fil...

  5. I'm going to suggest the free ones:

    Antivirus: AVG

    http://www.freesoftwareworkshop.com/free...

    Antispyware: Spybot Search & Destroy

    Hope I've helped.

  6. Kaspersky delivers a wide range of protection against a wide range of threats, with automatic protection updates every hour, high detection and block rate.

    http://www.kaspersky.com

  7. McAfee or Norton are two of the best out there. McAfee has a wide range of tools that are very user friendly and detect and remove spyware, viruses and other malware quickly and easily.

Norton is also very user friendly and effective and keeping your computer clean, and is somewhat cheaper than McAfee.

If you are using windows vista, I recommend McAfee, due to some running problems on other machines caused by Norton.

  8. Checkout at www.av-comparatives.org, an individual antivirus testing lab.

  9. For a all in one protection you need to get a complete security suite that covers all areas of security and has tons of tools to. I recommend McAfee Total Protection. I have been using it for some time now and like it.

  10. NOD 32

  11. I would say Kaspersky internet security 2009, though its expensive.

What ever security you decide on, I would recommend adding a  behavioral protection program too. Always monitoring running programs for suspicious activity's etc.

I use 'Primary Response SafeConnect' in addition to my security suite for extra protection. You can download for free 'threatfire' from pctools.com that does the same thing.

  12. Hello,

Today, A.V.G. is the Anti-Virus the most effective.

    A.V.G. Pro/Free includes an Anti-Adware (= Anti-Spyware), and the Professional Edition includes an Anti-Rootkit.

    Bye
