  1. I would go with AMF clubs.  You can start him with a quality set that will last him a good number of years for a decent price.  If you go with some cheap clubs from a big box place they wont last the beating that your boy will be giving them considering he hasnt ever played before.  AMF clubs provide a good feel for a beginner.  They are priced rather well you can pick up a 13 peice set from 2-300 dollars.

  2. big 5

  3. try sportmart or Big 5 you can get a good set of clubs there for a decent price. You might want to check on craigslist also for used clubs. Dont buy expensive clubs until your son is into the sport of golf and when he is into it that's the time you should invest in a quality clubs. I started with a wilson set i got it at sportmart its pretty decent, and try to get him a lesson on the basics of playing golf that would help him alot. Good Luck!!!

  4. Sir, if your son really loves golf, which I think he does since he's 13 and many young teenagers these days have spirit for everything, I would get the Little Ben made by Ben Hogan and only cost $115. That includes the driver, 2, irons, putter and a stand bag. Worse case scenario, if he doesn't like it, you can sell it for at least $70 on Craigslist or eBay. Ben Hogan makes awesome clubs so you can't go wrong with BH.

  5. If you are looking for a 'starter' golf club set you could possible try e-Bay.  It really does not matter what brand as long as you have a good wedge, 7-iron, 5-iron, 3-wood & a driver.  Cavity-back style clubs are the best for starting out as they are easier to hit with than your traditional blades.

  6. Go For Used Online Or The Best Deal You Can Get At *****.

  7. Find a good pair used and buy that.  As someone in my office said to me once, golf is one sport where you can buy a better game.  If you buy cheap clubs they wont feel right, they will not carry as far, they wont be as forgiving.  So you mayget frustrated quicker.

Buy a better set, used, and you will be happier than a cheaper set, new.

  8. If he is just starting out even Walmart has a good name brand that will work. A starting set around $100 is more than enough. He is young and is most likely going to grow and then later if he still likes it then getting better clubs is a good idea.

  9. Go to big 5. Or any other golf retail store. They have starter sets for around 99-200 dollars. Good luck
