What is the best shampoo for getting straight hair?

I have wavy hair but I love it straight. I want a shampoo and conditioner that will make it easier to straighten and everything. Which one works best?

If you straighten your hair, my best recommendation would be to NOT use any of the commercial products in the other answers - some of them contain silicone which creates a film on the surface of your hair to make it appear shiny, but will break it under the heat of a straightening iron.

Firstly, you need a shampoo and conditioner that's heavy on moisture as well as control to avoid drying it out. I'd recommend the S factor range from TIGI for straighter hair

Make sure you use a heat protector product, and if you want you're hair really straight - straighten it as soon as you've dried it, I know its a pain but the cuticles will set if you sleep on it first, making it harder to alter the style when you wake up

Yeahh I have the same too -_- . I Hate it ! I always used to straighten my hair everyday , & then when I get water on it it turns frizzy again . Pisses me off -_- . Well anyways I used Pantene before & it doesnt work . All it did was make my hair dry & turned it even more frizzy ... After that I tried Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Shampoo & conditioner . IT WORKED ! It made my hair soft & silky after 2 uses . I used their whole line , their smoothing milk , deep contioner , blah blah I forgot c[: . Now my hair isnt that frizzy & When I put water on my hair , it doesnt frizz up . Now I;m trying another shampoo called sunsilk buht its not from here in the u.s . Its from the philippines cuhz the one in the phillippines work better . Well yeah I;m trying their smooth & manageable shampoo & condionter , it works too . They also have a black shine shampoo which makes your hair turn black naturally . It works if use it everytime you go take a shower . Instead of that, I use regualr shampoo & conditioner, then I use Pantene's straightening cream, you comb it in when your hair is wet, blow dry it, and it already should be pretty straight. Then you just straighten it to get out the kinda frizzyness from the blowdryer =]

I am finding the new tresemme smooth shampoo and conditioner the best at the moment.  My hair is really curly and when I go to straighten it after using these. Its easier and seems to last longer. It makes my hair feel glossy and smooth just like when the hairdresser does it.
