What is the best short ram intake to get for 99 civic ex? Would a cheap ebay one b just as good as big brands?

i see so many different brands luike injen and aem and weapon r, but will they all essentailly offer the same performance increase in the end?

or could i even buy one of the 35 dolllar no name brands off ebay and get the same results? I mean im willing to pay more for the big brand names if they actually are better, but if they are going to do the same thing as a cheap knock off brand ill just save my moeny and get the cheap one.

What should i get? Please only respond if you have experience with these different intakes

Well one time i made an intake myself from parts from auto zone and that one worked better than the AEM one i bought for a fdifferent car. I would judt buy the ebay one and get a good filter for it because its all the same stuff

well i had a 92 civic and it had a cheap advance auto parts short ram and it done real good with mine.... hope my answer helps u out man

Well if if was me I'd probably get a AEM cold air intake which usually runs for 150-200 dollars. I perfer the AEM one becasue, I have one on my 2002 civic and after changing it the acceleration was quicker. Plus before I got the intake the car was at a 120HP. After installing the intake I took the car to a tuning shop and I got it dynoed. The horsepower jumped from 120HP to 130HP. Plus depending on where you live, the AEM comes with an CARB sticker on it so if you get pulled over by the cops, you can't get a ticket for having the intake.

All the three brand names you said are all CARB (sticker) which is legal when you go smog or when pigs tell you to pop up your hood

cheap ebay one will work but you will get a ticket if pigs see it on your car

and you wont like the price(shouldve just bought a brand name with carb #) and when you go smog it doesnt pass smog so you have to put back the stock one(one day you might lose it, what then? waste money?)
