  1. You can try www.familysearch.org or www.rootsweb.com or www.genealogy.com in addition to www.ancestry.com. The first two are mostly free. The more info you already have on your ancestors, the better the info you can find.

  2. Ancestry.com. Be advised you have to PAY for that service.

  3. hi...i would like to share my experience in this website, here you can post, reply and email people.

Very helpful beaceuse you can read other peoples messages and the fact you can always look the previous message listing even 5 years ago.

Good luck and God Bless!! ^_^

  4. Here is a terrific narrated guide to the best genealogy sites on the Web, and the relative merits of each one.

  5. I hate to say it, but ancestry.com is best. It's expensive ($20 a month) but it does a lot of work for you to more than make up for it. Find out if your library carries it for their card holders. Mine has heritage.com for free so I can view all of the US census records. I'd advise you to build up and keep a copy of your tree in progress, get as much information as you can with a trial ancestry.com membership. When your membership is over you can renew, sort your information more critically and use other sources to fill it in and decide if ancestry is worth it. I never get a year's worth, just a month every here and there when I have time.
