  1. 50cc

  2. She's too young, I think.

  3. Firstly please don't get your daughter a 60cc or 65cc as they are a two stroke machine and would scare the daylights out of a beginner rider.

Any of the well known brands like Honda, Yamaha etc.  in a basic 50cc like the Crf50 is the place to begin.

I personally do not like any motorbike with trainer wheels as have seen kids trying to ride them and the minute they go into a rut the wheels straddle the rut and the kids are in trouble.

Do make sure you invest in very good protection gear even for slow riding on a 50cc and look for a good kids helmet as the standard in kids helmets are no where near as good as adult helmets and most of them are plastic.  Don't get a second hand helmet ever as you have no idea if it has had a major impact.  And last of all make sure you are always watching when one that old is riding.

  4. first off i'ld like to say starting a child out at five isn't a big deal at all, and second off i'ld go with the crf50 w/out training wheels, but as a five year old she will be growing super fast so you might wanna go with a little CRF 70  which is a little bit taller.  and i'ld stay away from the two strokes.  And better yet y don't you take her to your local dealer and have her sit on some of the bikes they have, that might help ya out in your final desision.  Happy Trails

  5. you want to get her a pw 50 yamaha or a ktm 50cc adventure these are the best starting bikes and she is defentley not too young i was racing when i was 6

  6. My Son could ride his Yamaha PW50 at 3 - yes 3 !

In fact he found it easier to ride than a peddle bike with stabilisers on.

For all those who think 5 is to young, you may like to consider how most champion riders are as good as they are or indeed, even champions. They started riding bikes between the ages of 3 and 5 years old.

Many of them were already competing, winning races and championships before they were 10yrs old !!!!

So I would suggest either a PW50 or as matey above suggests the KTM (as I believe the KTM may be a bit higher than the PW). Also don't forget that you can adjust the throttle to a speed that she's happy with at first.

    Have Fun, fun, fun. - x*x -

  7. One of these:

    -Honda CRF50R / Honda XR50

    -Yamaha PW50

    -Suzuki JR50

  8. I started out riding when i was about 4 an a half, i started out of a 50cc, if she can ride a bike without training wheels with no problem, she is probly ready to start riding.

  9. I started my five and six year old sons out on a size 50 dirtbike

  10. a 60 with training wheels.

  11. IDk i think you would need 2 ask a specialist cuz those are dangerous lol

    not to criticize

but wait till shes 6 at least!

  12. Ktm 50 Mini Adventure my granddaughter started on one when she was 4

  13. i think like a crf50 or ttr50 with trainning wheels but be careful with trainning wheels becouse they can get dangerous

  14. im gunna go with the smallest one?

  15. Try a Honda CR50

  16. 50CC. start with small, and you can control the gas,

    Very good

  17. i would say a pw50

  18. One that is not powered, except by peddles and training wheels.  A five year old lacks the coordination, logic abilities and has no business being on a motorized vehicle.  I'm assuming this has to be a joke because a mother who would let her 5 year old daughter operate a motorized vehicle would be so criminally negligent if something happened that all children would be removed from her care...........not to mention earning the title worst mother ever.
