  1. Some of my favorites:

    1. Durango, Colorado - one of the most fabulous train rides in the US that goes from Durango to Silverton, Colorado.  Really fun day trip through some of the most beautiful parts of the Rocky Mountains!

    2. Santa Fe, New Mexico - really interesting small town and serves as a good base for exploring northern New Mexico.  Many museums, great shopping, Indian pueblos and more!!

  2. Coastal cities are very nice. A place like Monterey, CA or Coos Bay, OR would be a good choice. A larger city but under 100k would be Ashville, NC.

  3. Homer, Alaska

Great food, hot men, wildlife, outdoor activities...

  4. I like Roswell, New Mexico for the UFO museum.  Trip Advisor rates small towns on their website.  It's a nice resource to have. You should take a look.

Dolgeville, New York and Henderson, North Carolina are highly ranked.

  5. lot's of little towns in central IL (where I was born and raised)

  6. Mt Dora in Florida. It's really cute and homely. It also has some cool stools on in the summer.

  7. yellow springs ohio
