Ive snowboarded for 5 years now and im planning on buying a lib tech skate banana 156 but im having trouble looking for really good bindings. im a freestyle rider so i need something that can withstand 30ft+ drops/jumps and also something 4 jibs. i also do a little freeride here and there. money is not an issue.... please only respond if you have actually used the product. thanx.

  1. A really good snowboarding binding that is out for free style is the Burton Cartels which have a very high response because of the high back on it.

Another really good one is the Burton Mission binding. It has a really good freestyle rating.

  2. I always recommend Ride bindings - the Ride EX is a favorite but this isn't a freesytle specific binding. I have never ridden the Ride MVMT bindings, but I would try to read some reviews on those as well. The Contraban bindings look very interesting - I can't wait to try them.

Also want to say that the K2 auto bindings (though very cool and easy) don't seem to hold up - especially to the beating they get in the park. The cable system in the back will wear and get loose.

    Good Luck

  3. burton is the best

    also B60941 binding

  4. burton cartels are pretty sick i have had them for two years and still ride them

  5. I've been riding for 14 years and always had trouble with heel lift so I used Burton System bindings exclusively for many, many years even though I never owned a Burton board. For the last several years I have been using FLOW. I love my Flows and have noticed more and more people riding them. I am mainly a freerider, but occasionally take small/medium hits. I believe Flow has begun making freestyle bindings also.

  6. can u think 4 urself? whats ya name ?i got some bindings for u..burton custom149$ or mission179$ or doom...219$ burton triad std..299$...12 burton bindings for guys this year....they would look good on your new lib tech

  7. I ride nothing but park and actually have the 2008 version of that board so I think I'll be able to help.

All three are new this year but I did demo the h**l out of the Contrabands. Both the K2's and Ride's are ultra lightweight but I like the CBs just a bit more. I always had an issue with my front brinding opening or getting hung up, without a front strap I don't think that will be an issue any more. The other major selling point for them both is they are not super stiff, so this should help out with the already buttry feeling of the Skate Banana.

Oh and forget Flow, if you want foot pain they are perfect. Actually, I don't want to miss lead you, if you're a half-pipe rider go for them, they have really good foot hold... but honestly they are awful if you ride rails alot. K2 came out with a better open back binding last year and is 100 times better in terms of comfort.
