It is very energy efficient to go with solar power in a pool hall, especially with all those table lights.  For the most part I too like to play pool above ground, although I have had some pretty good games in the basement.

Play your pool below the ground, out of the elements and you won't need solar.  

However on the other hand, playing snooker is like love. If you can't get the pink, go for the brown!
