What is the best strategy for roulette?

When i first started playing roulette, i always bet on red or black. It takes a while to win big. I then also bet on odd or even (placing one chip on red and one on odd). This also took a while to win big. Every once and a while i would play the corner of 4 numbers but i usually didn't win. I then went with 1-12, 13-24, 25-36 betting 2/3 of the wheel. I win a little more and found it to be a good way of winning. Is this the best way at winning?

  1. All bets in roulette have exactly the same odds. No matter how you bet, you are facing a 5.26% house edge (on the US double-0 wheel).

There is no good strategy for playing roulette. The best you can do is hope for incredible good luck.

  2. Personally, I have lost in the long run with every "roulette system" I have used.  I would win at the beginning but would always hit a streak where I would consistently lose and in some cases lose my entire deposit.  Overtime, I eventually found roulette software to be the most consistent.  When I lose, its only a little and can be made up very easily.  But I have definitely faired better than any "system" I have used in the past.

You can check out some of the roulette software I use at:

  3. Try to find a single zero roulette game. The house edge is 2.7% this applies to every bet on the table so it doesn't matter what you bet. No strategy will every change the house edge or give you a better chance of winning.

Double zero roulette has a 5.26% house edge with the exception of the top line bet (0,00,1,2,3) 7.89% advantage, never place this bet.

  4. well done John.

  5. i take around a 50-50gamble and usually win. I either place on black or on red.
