What is the best strategy in recovering a stolen vehicle?

My car was stolen this morning from my drive way. The first thing I did when I noticed my car was gone, was to call the insurance company and the police. I made a report and gave them a great discription of my vehicle. Is there anything else I can do to increase the chanses of finding my car? Thanks for your help.

  1. trust me you don't want it back. its going to cost you a ton of money to get it back. if it is found by the law it will be taken to the tow yard and you will get a minimum 3 day storage fee to get it back. happened to me and everyone i have ever talked to has said the same thing. your insurance woun't reimburse you for it either.

  2. wait. or get a friend to drive you around and look to see if it's parked anywhere.

There's nothing you can do about the lost car now.  But for the next car, you should get a LoJack system.  They have 90% recovery rate.

    Good Luck...

  4. You probably will get your car back eventually, however if you are located in a really big city the chances of it coming back the way it was taken is low...you could put a picture of the car in your local paper and ask if people see it to report it...or post notices around the town with pics of the car...good luck..get lojack installed when you get it back or when you get a new car..if you have full coverage and if you don't get the car back w/i 30 days you will be able to get a check for the depreciated value of the car...good luck
