  1. That's a bit difficult to answer without knowing something about your lifestyle and situation. There are heaps of great suburbs, but few would suit everyone.

Do you want to be close to the city or further out in the suburbs?

Do you want to be able to walk to restaurants etc?

    House or flat?

Is public transport important to you?

    What's your budget for accommodation?

Any preference for north, south, east or west?

Anything else that might narrow it down?

  2. I'm a resident on the South Side. But I'd recommend some of the suburbs either inner south (Woolloongabba, South Bank, West End), they are trendy and really close to the city centre, plus they have great public transport surrounding them.

On the other hand, I have a lot of friends who live on the North Side. Suburbs like Wilston, Windsor, Albion and Lutwyche are great also for great public transport and close to the city.

But it all depends on your price range. Obviously the closer to the city centre the more you'll pay for a simple 2 bedroom unit, comparing say further out suburbs, such as Aspley(North side) and Calamvale(South side).

realestate.com is good for some house hunting.

  3. Well I think no suburb in Brisbane is the best because i hate it. If your looking for Jobs and Good Quality suburbs go to Melb

  4. I have an relatives who lived in Toowoomba its in land so not so hot as coastal and schools are excellent I don't know about jobs as it would depend upon your trade but check out the local council website for jobs.

  5. As the above answerer suggested, theres plenty here. However I have lived in plenty of different parts of Brisbane, I would suggest somewhere on the north side, perhaps the Chermside area, maybe the inner regions such as Fig Tree Pocket. They have close access to plenty of jobs. And they are pretty nice areas too.
