  1. mr zogs s*x wax always works 4 me i dont know ask some one at a surf shop

  2. I use zogs and have no problem.  When I first wax (or re-wax every couple months) a board, It's kind of a process, but it pays off with the perfect bumps I get.

I first rub it down with base coat thuroughly.  This basically just covers the fiberglass, and gives no traction.  Then I rub on tropical wax.  This starts to form bumbs, but takes a while to wear off (just a step off base coat).  Now, when I rub my cold water over that mixture, it sticks to the wax that's already down, and forms bumps really easily.  Also, it takes less wax each time, and takes longer to get all gross, since you aren't putting on globs of excess.

I know that sounds crazy and excessive, but it works.

  3. "sticky bumps"

  4. Always apply to a dry board once your board's wet it's a real hassle. I find one wax is really like another. Build up the layers by going horizontally and vertically and remember less is more.

  5. I use Sticky Bumps here in Charleston, SC.  I find it works great, especially in warmer waters.  They do make different waxes for different water conditions though.

These are the products they offer:

Original Cold: 60F and Below / 15c and below

    Original Cool: 58-68F 14-19C

    Original Warm: 64-74F 19-28C

Original Tropical: 75F and above 24C and above

  6. Try Kangaroo Poo.
