I am looking for the best fixed blade survival knife that has an unscrewable bottom that is a compass. Also, what are those knives called with the compartment feature in the hilt?

  1. Get a Gourka Kukri. Thats one mean Sun-uv-abitch

  2. Those knives you're talking about are cheap.  They're made of low quality steel and the blade is attached to the handle with glue or roll pins.

You'd be better off with a Ka-Bar combat/utility knife or an Ontario USAF Survival knife (or one of it's Freedom Fighter or Spec-Plus variants).  These go from about $35 to about $55.  On the cheaper end ($20-$25), the Cold Steel Bushman knives are really sturdy and dependable (though their sheaths are kind of c**p), and on the more expensive end ($90+), knives from Ranger Knives or RAT Cutlery are pretty good.

  3. I guess a Rambo Knife would be your best bet,why not buy a compass and get a different  knife? You should go with a Gerber Mark II or a M-9 bayonet.

  4. hollow handle survival knives or rambo knives. Heres a link to a relatively good one for the price. You can get an actual ranbo knife but they are like 150 bucks. just do a google search for "rambo knives"

  5. anyone you know how to use

  6. Easy.

Best survival knife ever made. The Buckmaster 184 made by Buck Knifes. Even doubles as a spear or grappeling hook (removeable hook points, they unscrew and you carry them in the sheath...if you s***w them in backwards...pointing towards the blade tip...very scay looking blade). No longer made. Good luck finding one. Very collectable. My friend has one. He bought it new 20 years ago.
