What is the best sushi mat to buy? Bamboo or plastic?

I want to start rolling sushi and I am not sure which mat to get. I don't have a preference, I just want what works best.

Alton Brown, the genious from Food Network says to go with bamboo.

Definitely bamboo. If you are going to go through the trouble of making Sushi, you should use the proper utensils. It will make the sushi taste better.

The idea is the same as eating an expensive meal off of paper plates. It just doesn't taste as good.
