What is the best sushi restaurant in nyc?

My best friends birthday was today and my friends and i are taking her to the city for her birthday on a sat night...she wants sushi....were looking for a cool sushi place thats like buddha bar in the meatmarket....doesn't matter where the restaurant is located but needs to have a cool atmosphere, preferably with music...

Go to Nobu 57...it's a really trendy place and it has tons of awesome other food too, although best known for their sushi. Reservations are hard to get so you have to call way in advance.

Nobu has become overrated.  Quality has really dropped since they first opened.

I would recommend "Bond St" in NoHo.  It's very similar to Nobu, being that it's a trendy space, but the sushi is much higher quality.

Sushi Samba sucks btw.  The only reason it's popular is bc they shot a s*x and the city episode there.
