  1. Watch the news- but try to have the captioning on if possible. I would also recommend watching some of your favorite movies with Spanish audio- early level learners should have English subtitles, then move up to Spanish subtitles, then eventually no subtitles. Another really good program is Sesame Street in Spanish (I know it's called Barrio Sésamo in Spain- not sure what they call it in the Americas).

  2. Watch Univision news or documentary-type programs. Don't watch the soaps or game shows. Commercials are good, because the advertisers really want you to get the message. The very best on Univision is Victor Hugo Saavedra. He speaks very clearly, very distinctly, and does not run the words together. Some Spanish news anchors are so fast even Hispanics have trouble understanding them.

  3. I don't know, I don't really know, but I recommend you watching movies in spanish with subtitles in spanish. I think that's the best way to get used to a language. TV shows could be OK, but they sometimes use a lot of regional words, or the spanish they speak is not one of the best quality. Well, movies probably use bad spanish as well, but at least you're able to read what they're saying.

  4. You're doing pretty well. That sounds a lot like what I did to learn. I also watched a lot of movies with subtitles so that I could get an idea what they were saying. The only problem is that not all subtitles match up with the movies exactly. Here is a website that has some movies with the subtitles matched up. http://www.learn-podcast-spanish.com/spa... They also have tons of the most common phrases you'll hear natives using. So you'll be at an advantage because you'll know most of the things they're going to talk about.

    Good luck!

  5. watch lente loco or a la cama con porsel and sabado gigante

  6. asassdasda

  7. sesame street.

  8. Watch the news in Spanish if you have a Hispanic channel. That's very helpful, because many topics are discussed and the events are current, so you can go online or watch the news in English and compare what you think you heard about the story in Spanish to what actually happened in English.

My husband and I used Rosetta Stone to learn Portuguese. It was great, but of course there is nothing like immersion to help you learn another language. Rosetta Stone Level 1 will get you started. Wait to invest in Level 2 until you really need it.

I think the most helpful method to learn another language is to find people who speak fluently with whom you can listen and respond.

Also, consider taking a course from Berlitz or another foreign language institute. One-on-one classes force you to speak and listen regularly. Berlitz is incredible. I owe my Portuguese to them more than to the Rosetta Stone.

  9. watch one where they speak spanish, one for kids would be best.
