  1. 68 and up is good

  2. Right now is probably not a good time to be swimming in Lake Michigan. Currently, surface water temps are between the low 30s and low 60s. The highest water temps, currently, are around New Buffalo, Michigan, around 63 degrees, which might be tolerable. By mid to late summer, temps may reach into the 80s, as they occassional do.

  3. Lake Michigan only gets to 70 degrees a few times a year (at least in the south west corner of the lake where I live).  Enjoy!

Really anything over 65 is usually very tolerable.  If you have a wet suit you can of course go colder.

  4. By now, your popsicle body has thawed.  In the future, remember, swimming is warmest when winds are blowing water towards the shore and murky water is warmer than clear.
