The best way you can help stop global warming is by reducing your carbon footprint (the amount of carbon dioxide you use). There are many ways you can do this such as: buying a hybrid or electric car; walking more, driving less; unplugging electronics while they are not in use (this includes cell-phone chargers, computers, and other devices); Participate in earth Hour (http://www.earthhour.org/); invest in certain programs and services that try to stop pollutants (such as facebook's greenbook); buy locally, and whenever possible, organically; try to avoid petroleum products (plastics, etc.); and try not to support large companies that don't try to reduce their carbon footprint.

Also, one of the most important and effective way to try to stop global warming is to spread the word about global warming and its effects to friends and family.

Take all the people you know that believe that all life on the planet depends on us to "fix"global warming, March you butts off to the Grand Canyon and jump in. No doubt that will fix the problem since half the population will be gone!

I open all the windows when I have the air conditioner on.  I think if everyone would do this we could hopefully lower the temp of the earth by at least .0001 % of a degree!
