We foolish Americans are going to be in The City of Love for New Years Eve and we are looking for the best dinner, event, dance, or what ever. We plan on checking out the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower and so forth. What would be some other great things to consider?

  1. Take bottles of champagne to the Eiffel Tower and ENJOY!!

  2. Take ecstasy and go to a rave.

You can usually find people selling it at the raves, only it may be a bit more expensive.

Raves are rather easy to find in the Paris Underground/London Underground counterculture.

Best way to "bring in the New Year".

  3. Kiss with your girlfriend in front of the Eiffel tour. Great

  4. there is a dinner boat, on the siene that you can make reservations for. The food is excellent and the views are amazing. We did this about 2 years ago for New years eve and it was great! It can get pretty rowdy on the street near the tower. When we were there people were throwing fireworks at people, putting them in the hoods of jackets ect. It was a little chaotic and uncomfortable. I would do the boat again...I cant remember what it is called, but I'm sure if you do a search for it you will find it.

  5. You can have a dinner in Montmartre where you will find a typical French atmosphere.

Then from Montmartre, you can walk to Pigalle, and depending of your budget, you can see cabaret shows (e.g:Moulin Rouge).

Usually, French people find themselves in Les Champs Elysees to celebrate the New Year Eve; so you can join the crowd after the firework.

  6. Champs elysee is also anamazing place to be for thenew years celebration, plus there you have all of the restaurants and shopping.  One of my favorite things to do in france is to find a movietheatre that is pllaying a movie I have already seen in english and go watch it in French.  then find a creperie open at midnight for a true french experience.

  7. I personally would picnic under the tour Eiffel....   a bit cold on the 31st December don't you think??  Wine can help... french are good wine makers... LOL!!!   I heard of a restaurant which is found near the Tour Eiffel, from which you can see it illuminated, and at night it is magnificent, and every hour, it ''sparkles'' or ''flashes''....  can't see any other appropriate word, and I think it is found at the palais chaillot... hope this can help you investigate!
