My girlfriend and i play pool all the time but i hate it beucase she kicks my *** every time we play.

I use a 19 oz stick thinking about going to a 21 ounce.

Now, dose anyone have any tips or know of any website that i can use to get better?

Actually a site for the real rules (like calling certian shots and stuff like that) would be helpful.

Thank you all,

Joe

  1. you can try APA site (American Pool Association).

all you need to do is take your time, don't grip so hard and lining between the object and cue ball better plus put lot of chalk before you shot the cue ball so it wont be a miscued.

Btw you've got good pool stick if you're tall and strong in lower arm.

  2. Relax.  Just play against your own best game.  That is just try to make each shot better than the last.  Shoot a lot.  Forget your opponent.  That's just putting you up tight.  It psyches you out,  The muscles have to be relaxed to perform well.   Don't let  this girl friend bug you.  Maybe you're just not ready for her yet.  You'll know when your really ready to COMPETE!   Just play your own best game with an eye to getting better one shot at a time.  Lots of patience.  Lots of practice.  Good luck!

  3. I dont feel like typing so listen to these answers and PRACTICE once you learn stick is your choice

wait till your married then the a--kicking really starts

  4. You need more exercise works with your close friend before you play with her.

  5. YOU ARE WELCOME! FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

  6. Believe it or not.  Read a book.  Sure improved my game.  Use a good stick.  As far as weight, my stick is 19 and a half.

  7. find the best pool player you know and practice with him for as many hours each day that you can. pay him or bribe him with free games and beer.

  8. The rules part is very simple.  Just go to www.bca-pool.com and you'll find the world-standardized rules for the most commonly played pocket billiard games.  As far as improving your own game is concerned, I'm always going to say that formal instruction is the most efficient and effective path.  You can find a complete list of BCA (Billiard Congress of America) Instructors on the same website.  There are other ways to improve, such as books and the like.  You should let your girlfriend show you a few things.  I'd love to have my girlfriend be a challenge at pool.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
