  1. It's great you're aware of how important it is to get the proper vitamins and minerals. Most carnivores don't get the recommended amounts of essential vitamins either but as a vegetarian it is important to pay close attention. You need to make sure your diet allows you to get what you need. I have some easy tips and information on my website.

  2. The two biggest things to watch are you protein and iron intakes.  If you can get enough of both, great.  Otherwise you will need supplements.

  3. I am vegetarian by birth and eat different types of veg food.

i never took any vitamin or supplement and don't think I need it.

    Take variety of food.

  4. When you intend to become almost Vegetarian very strictly, you may encounter the fact that you may be lack of vitamin B12. We Japanese have been almost  fish vegetarian for so long time. So most of the traditional Japanese recipe are  Meat  Free, Egg Free,  Milk Free, Lactose Free with some exception. We japanese have been taking vitamin B12 from Miso, Natto,Tsukemono pickles and so on. We  had not  have to take meat  in order to take vitamin B12 as the fish vegetarian for so long time. Please  try  enjoying if you can accept Japanese Foods.

  5. Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentil, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else.
